[Feeling a little frustrated and annoyed she decided to go seek out Komaeda next on her little practice exercise. There was also a matter she wanted to ask him, but first, before saying anything, she hands him a pad of paper with a determined frown.
>>Time travel to the future! >>I got all the tokens, let's start rolling for those capsules! >>Wubby Wub Wub.
Something was expected, but she wasn't saying what it was exactly right now.]
[ She says rather simply, resolute on that opinion. ]
...But I understand you and the others' viewpoints, so I won't argue. It's not like it'll change things, anyway...and I'd rather spend that time making memories with all of you instead. So...yeah, you helped me. Thank you, Komaeda-san.
[ There's a pause after she says that, and she looks downcast. ]
Pause between. [He turns back to his memories of Mu and his chest aches. He can't quite figure out why. So he doesn't bother to consider it. One breath.
Two.
Komaeda mirrors his old master's stance and expression as he climbs to his feet. Feet set slightly apart and hands held up fingers together.]
[He stares at the paper for a long moment and produces a pen from his coat pocket. Tokens is boring, he'll get whatever he needs. Wubby is really silly. Time travel is given a checkmark beside it.
[She waits for him to stand and give the go ahead when he's ready, but something about him gives her pause. She couk dnt quite place it but... She couk dnt help but feel concerned. Though he was different in many ways, he was still the same too. He was someone that needed to be watched over.]
Of course! Well, while we're on that subject. Have you gotten much information about this one? [He stretches his arms over his head and makes a soft satisfied noise when his shoulder pops. That had been bugging him all day.]
[Her question doesn't register at first. His mind is on the beauty of the heavens as a steady soothing toned voice speaks about miracles and the stars. Komaeda's eyes widen by just a hair, the flicker of some emotion moving through them too fast to make sense of. It's gone in an instant as he cants his head slightly to the side and his lips curve into a small, barely there smile.]
...I'm fine. You may begin. [It's there again, like a shadow that subtly brings out a deeper pattern of his expression. He is steady and resolute, like a wall and yet within there's the faintest hint of something not quite right.]
[She wasn't good with the subtitles of emotion, or understanding them and how they connected to other things. However she was programmed to notice things, and she could recall every interaction she had previously had with Komaeda. The concern grew a little deeper. He was trying to do something on his own, that wouldn't do!]
Komaeda kun....
[But she didn't really know what it was, just that... there was something not quiet right.]
Please remember that everyone is here, and you are not alone.
[That was all she could really offer, before throwing another ball.]
[His eyes widen faintly but he has to throw up a hasty shield that isn't really strong enough to hold. The snowball shatters it and hits him right in the side of his face.
It cracks his thoughts wide open with his own icy shock. He shivers, frozen in place as it rolls through him. His widened grey eyes lock on her. He knows he isn't alone. But why...]
...why do you say that? [A part of him knows why. It scrambles to put distance between the thoughts he's manipulated to craft the shield and himself. It's like slipping on icy ground. Dwelling never did him any favors.]
Yes, that's correct! It's the opposite of Selenium. [His smile brightens a bit more and he claps his hands together.]
It wasn't long after I arrived two years ago that I got to witness my first one. It's because of a gentle priestess that is no longer with us that some of the more traditional clothing of Japanese culture can be bought at Verens shops.
Mmm, there's a masquerade and dancing as well. ...do you know how to dance?
What about formal dancing? I'm talking about ballrooms and holding on to each other. [He has a tiny feeling they don't mean the same kind of dancing. Better to cover that.]
Mm, Sanae might return one day. Probably with none of her memories but. She'd be here again.
[She continues to frown, but, at least he was acknowledging it. But still, she couldn't help but think of before, of him keeping everything to himself and then acting on his own and then....
Couldn't they have helped? Couldn't something have been done?
She never wants to see that sort of thing again.]
Just remember that there are people here you can talk to.... Please, Komaeda kun, don't carry everything yourself. You can find your own way... but don't remove yourself... okay?
[He winces again. There's only one thing to prompt her to say something like that. Komaeda takes his bangs out of his face with a long heavy sigh. He did what he had to at the time. Even if he has guilt about it in the present.]
It's nothing like that. ...it's not something that can be helped. I promise I'm not going to be be dangerous towards anyone.
Not because of this. [Komaeda looks away, back to the gauntlets resting on a side table. No. He will never harm another the way he had before. Not a friend anyway.]
The only time limit formal dancing has is how comfortable you are. It is a close form of dancing between two people! [He taps two fingers together with a faint sad smile on his face.]
Sanae is greatly missed. We would all be happy just to see her again.
[Between Helisium and helping Hunk plan Lance's surprise party set immediately afterwards, Allura couldn't find the time to make it to the wedding. That didn't mean she couldn't support the new couple though, so when next they check their mail they'll find a package containing a large, plush throw blanket, patterned in cream and dark blue, as well as a handwritten note in a strange script. Thank goodness for translation magic.]
Dear Komaeda and Hinata,
Congratulations on your new union, and thank you very much for inviting me to join in the festivities. My apologies for not being able to attend in person, but I hear it was a lovely celebration and with as much love and dedication you have for each other, I believe it. Please accept this gift as a token of my happiness for your future, and a way to help keep each other warm and safe during anything you might face. May the love and trust you have in each other guide you well, and may the hopes you have for your future be well within reach.
Congratulations and Best Wishes, Princess Allura of Altea

Letter, Shortly after returning Penta (August) 7th
[Sitting in Allura's mailbox is a plain looking letter. Her name is written carefully but, the writing is a bit blocky.]
Good afternoon, Princess Allura of Altea.
Thank you for the gift. We took it with us on our trip and I apologize for not getting the time to write to you until now! It's a wonderful throw blanket. It has a place of honor on top of the couch. I hope you'll visit some time. I'd love to talk some more.
