Can Dunamis even neutralize curses...?

[ He knows that his abilities can't since a curse is SUPERNATURAL BULLSHIT but whatever. ]

It wouldn't be fair to use a mirror if you're wearing a blindfold.

The blindfold would be for when I'm in charge. [He looks up for a second then says,] With my research, yes curses can be lifted with Dunamis.

It's up to the caster but, I have no doubt in your ability.

[ Then again he's the Ultimate Cheat. ] But that's good to know.

Oh of course. I could use Dunamis like that one time...but, well. [He pulls on his shirt one sleeve at a time.] Anyway, before we get nothing done for the day.

[ Hinata has a good idea what Komaeda was trying to say there, but he wants to hear it from the horse's mouth. But fine, if he's going to change the subject he'll allow it.

Of course. [After buttoning up his shirt Komaeda walks into the living room and heads straight for his work desk.]

You remember I participated in Thras challenge. What I didn't tell you about that is when we assumed the roles we were given...I experienced being in perfect health for the first time.

Yeah, you did tell me that-- [ He can't help but press his lips together. Hm. This is something interesting. ]

[ Get to the point, Komaeda. He knows that there is one, so he doesn't want to stall more than he actually has to. That is truly boring. ]

Consider it a group of sensations and emotions. By channeling hope and spreading it through out the body, I could be restored to that state. But only temporarily at first.

You only worked with Mu for a short time. From after that challenge till now he taught me...

[Komaeda picks up a fist sized rock and channels energy, crushing it to dust.] I took what he was teaching me and applied it to Dunamis.

[ There isn't much else that Hinata has to say, not really, anyway. ]

The healing, yes. But not what Master has been teaching me since I'm healthy. [It was not used for personal battles. Mu had expressedly forbidden it.

Komaeda shakes his hand and steps over to Hinata, stepping close to wrap his arms around his neck.]

Healing took a lot of energy. It's why I ran out so fast all the time. ...I had to use a full crystal and Peromei's help to heal for good. That's what I did that one time.

I didn't have a working knowledge of how my own emotions were being dulled by my condition. But...ah, you remember don't you. I kept away for a little while after I healed. I wasn't sure if you'd remember. You withdrew right before I went to heal myself.

[It had hurt even if he'd guessed it had a lot to do with memories and the past. Not that he had ever expected way back when he started on the road to being cured to face it with others. He presses his cheek against Hinata's chest to banish the memories.]

Of course I remember. I don't forget easily.

[ He smiles wistfully, running fingers through Komaeda's hair a little bit. It's kind of fun, doing this, he has to admit. Even if the topic is a little... ]

And sorry about that. I remembered things that I didn't want to at the time. But I'm alright now. Those memories may still hurt, but I have to live with them. I can't change them, after all.

[He leans into the fingers in his hair. He wants to press Hinata down into the chair and straddle him. Instead he leans up, meeting Hinata's eyes.] It's alright. I should have spoken up more instead of focusing on you both and your health, solely.

[Komaeda threads his fingers together at Hinata's back.] I've learned from it.

As I was saying, that is how the healing of myself works. It's different when I'm mending someone else.

Yeah, you have. We both have. And... if you wanted to do that, you could just ask.

[ Did Hinata read Komaeda's mind about the whole straddling part? Probably. ]

But how different is it?

It's like passing a torch. The energy is mine, but the healing is done by the person accepting that power. It's about trust and in a way, augmented by the other person's strongest emotions.

It has to be allowed and Hajime...could you sit down? [It's really embarrassing Hinata picked up on his desires but, he'll just roll with it. He does want to do it. It's not that he has been a inattentive lover, but at times Hinata had used to get so wrapped up in what was going on. Some itches hadn't been scratched that often.]

And what if the other person's strongest emotions were negative? Would it still work?

[ He had to ask, out of curiosity before taking a seat. ]

I don't know about that one. [He sits in Hinata's lap, sliding his arms around his neck. Komaeda looks up at the ceiling trying to recall if that had ever happened.] A balance of their strongest emotions works best...so it could be possible.

We could try it now. [He hums quietly, perfectly content to sit on Hinata and watch him. Moments like this have been rare and he isn't about to let another one pass him by.]

I do have quite the handle on my despair these days.

Alright. Let's try it, then. [ His eyes are serious, gaze fixed completely on Komaeda. ]
